It is not a Stadtpost/city post (local stamp).

I believe that this is a rebate stamp. It was a probably given with a purchase. When the customer filled a card, or booklet of these stamps, then it could be redeemed for a discount/credit, or merchandise from the seller.

The company was started in 1872, and called itself auskunftei, which Googles translates as credit reporting. What does it actually mean, for that time? (Claimed by themselves to be "Europe's biggest.")
