Mundane for the most part.
The 5d on 10 shilling Tasmanian St George was a good pick up.
These are just new scans before being archived.

KE7 looks decidedly uncomfortable (to me) facing right.

Rod:

Do you add those text descriptions just for us? OR are they a permanent part of your album/stock sheet? OR do you save these annotated contact sheets as part of your inventory/cataloging?

Just curious about how you're storing/using all the detailed information.

G'day Kirk,
I scan all my stamps at 600dpi.
I rename the scan image to the catalogue ID
eg
SG0001 (1891) T0900 2d KG5 [0m1] red [wmk5].jpg

That's it.
In the image ID text I add any text I feel I need to flag the issue.
For example with orphan stamps, I will add something that is immediately identifiable on the image (say serbia orphan- I add "nowta"] etc.

The rest is attributable to ACDSee.
I collect 4 stamp images, they come with their ID
and ACDSee asks whether I want the image name on the "contact sheet"
What you see here is when I tick yes, otherwise the stamps remain mute.
Hope this helps

It is always nice to see BC revenues. Especially the Tasmania overprint.

Keep 'em coming!

Gentlemen, you are too kind, thanks for the encouragement.

Here then are St Vincent.
I shall be posting a singleton scan under "general" seeking information on "engine turning"
The sixpenny lilac is just such a spectacular stamp, the engine turning is exquisite, and I may blush,
but Her Majesty's neck is so almost flesh like, I could plant a kiss

Well RevStampMan, you shall have a close up.
I may have a duplicate of this thoughtful King, who, on one occaision, learnt of a young naval tar, having an accident,
sent some stamps to the young lad in Hospital.
If I do, I'll mail it to you.

Nevis and Natal.
With Nevis the cat numbers quoted cannot be relied upon.
Barefoot and SG differ on descriptions and I do not know enough of the issues to comment.
It would appear the "pale rose" Nevis is the Lithography, and the "dull claret" is the recess sibling. who knows!

The Allegory of the lass offering water to the distressed, refers to a medicinal spring on Saint Kitts / Nevis Island.

I've got a few more of the KGVs from New South Wales tucked away somewhere, including a pretty neat pair. This makes me think I need to dig them out. Great colors on the various issues.

Tasmania.
Along the lines of the first Aussie Natural History Artist
Joseph Banks, came in 1870's one Louisa Meredith
who put her genius to the production of a Tasmania Revenue
She chose a Monotreme, (An egg laying mammal)

Her Stamp.

Kirk, you have to be the politest, most encouraging reader I have ever come across,
Always a kind word.

Unfortunately,
It has also come to my attention you spend too much time on this forum, even more than me!
I think we need to visit rehab together.

Your generosity is matched only by Kirk's.

I have a bunch with revenue cancels {bleck!]...would you be willing to take those off my hands, too?
