UAR. United Arab Republic. A political union between Egypt and Syria from 1958-1961. Syria declared Independence in 1961.

That stamp from 1959 was issued first with mention "Egypt" (year 1958,Michel # 530)

I thought the OP was more interested in identifying the stamp. I believe the Arabic inscription says United Arab Republic. Vayolene's version includes Egypt in English and Arabic under the top heading.
