Happy Holidays SCF,

Quick question. Are these French stamps dated 1926? I was unsure. Also - the color seems a bit different in each - should I assume different types? Thank you for your help.

No, these have been printed for a long time - variation in color is to be expected

You can go into the weeds on Sowers. The simplified Yvert treatment isn't too bad for the 50c rouge, though. (50c reds weren't around for the entire run of Sowers.)

The basic Yvert listing has five types for the 50c, and a closed "c" variety.

The 50c red (lined background) was issued in 1926.Rotary printed
Withdrawn starting 1928-1932.
Perfed 14 x 13.5
5 different types mainly due to the printing technique.

If you can show a better clear pic of the 2nd stamp layed down flat?It may come from a booklet pane..
