The covers from the Canadian W Force in Newfoundland during WW2 are well known. What I am having much more trouble finding are the postage rates that applied for members of the Armed forces serving there. Mail was handlesdthrough CAPOs numbers 1 to 5 and 10. The ones I have all have Newfoundland stamps on them
Did the canadians use Canadian currency to post their letters at the canadian Army Post Offices or Newfoundland currency.
Were the two currencies tied at parity or was there an exchange rate during the war.
Did all mail to Canada from the CAPOs go by air or was there less expensive surface mail - I have not seen any
Thanks for those links I have the back number sof the news groups and am slowlyt working my way through them but had not found those specific pages yet.
