Some months ago in a discussion here on the S.A.C. I mentioned that I had had several successful recommendation to the committee ...... and was immediately asked which ones. Took me awhile to located these letters (we collectors are collectors). The only two I could find were 1460 Stanley Cup (April 1993) and 1639 VON (May 1997). There were - for sure- recommendations that did not get approved.
The opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the CNR was sadly missed. Think of the possibilities... coast to coast to coast... tunnels... bridges... steam engines... then and now...
Instead we got 6 stamps of Leonard Cohen! Halleluyah!
