I should mention that Stadspost Amsterdam is a Local Post and some other items can be seen here:

Googling them will bring up some interesting looking issues, typically local but neat.

Bought a collection over the weekend and these sheets were included. Were hey actually used?

Blue on white paper states "London" below the 15p
Carmine on white states "UK" under the 25p
Violet on blue states "Europe" and "AIR POST"

Are these legitimate? I tries Googling the various captions. But came up empty. Maybe some kind of cinderella or fantasy item?

Rather prescient picture of the Post Office Tower, as the Angry Brigade set off a bomb there six months later ... it never properly opened to the public again.

Just acquired this label in a recent GB collection. Appears to be a variety of the Exeter Golden Hind labels posted earlier. These have different wording around the rim.

Lots of unusual labels -----Let me make a BOLD statement here -----Most of these labels were created long after the strike was over . I will change my opinion after I see covers issued with these stamps on covers or philatelic news articles from that time period without those two ,I believe most of these are made to sell to collectors .

In the UK I have seen a few strike post stamps and they are usually the same items. Peoples defence league Springs to mind. The rest of the labels on pages 5 and 6 I have never seen or heard of. Most strike posts had to charge 30p or more to cover costs and could only deliver over limited routes or areas. At a guess I would say our house received ten letters a week in the 1970s, I was never aware of getting any mail during the strike.
The Scout posts authorised to operate in limited areas around Christmas were much more popular and used frequently around Chesterfield in Derbyshire.
