Small Queen Paper - What Is Pebbly?

Here are the images I promised. Took me a while to figure out how to get the side shots with my camera.

As you can see, this is a horizontal wove paper. There are some wrinkles in the paper but overall the surface has a "pebbly/wavy" feel.

The shade is an early one (1870's).

Maybe it was how it was dried. I leave it to you all to decide.
