I used to collect US stamps 40 years ago... so I reclaimed my US album from my Mom's house... a fair amount of 60's and 70's mint stamps with a lot of others sprinkled in. Now my Mom gave me her Citation album that has many thousands of stamps in it... few, if any mint, but lots of older stamps going back into the 1800's. Then I have lots of match boxes and other boxes full of older stamps that have some sorting logic.
I'm not looking to liquidate nor am I thinking about collecting more at this point, but I would like to invest some time learning how to valuate such a collection. Can you point me to some excellent links that discuss the process of valuating a collection?
Below are some pictures to provide a feel of what I'm working with.
