I'm researching someone who lived at this address (Lynarstr 13, Berlin) in 1941. Is there any chance you can show the other side of that postcard (to Dr. Phil. Erich Wittenberg) in case it is relevant to my research? Thanks!

Here's an even funnier Phil reference. This one is a teacher. Of what I don't care to know.

For the Berlin research, you can take a look at the Berlin address book 1941 ;-)

Both are true. Dr. phil. is an abbreviation of Doctor philosophiae, but of course the title is used throughout the humanities. Ph.D. is used in the very same way in the English-speaking world; only the Latin word-order is different: Philosophiae Doctor.
