What To Do With Higher Value Duplicates

Why not try here (SCF auction) for a stamp or two? SCF has a lot of US collector traffic, you pocket the 10% extra that you would have to pay ebay, and there plenty of decent folks here. If it does not generate the interest you expect, nothing really lost.

I like Don's suggestion! List them here and see what happens.You need to decide "fair" pricing and I believe the items should sell with no problems.

I sell 50-60 items on ebay every week, but every time I start to sell a new collection or a different batch of stuff the buyers are a little slow to gather. I've learned to start slowly and not list the best or the worst but some middle level material. If I plan to sell 15 items/week from a collection I'll start with 5 items and then 10. It seems like fishing to me and I have to chum the water. I really believe in a low starting price because the early cheapskate bidders might come back later.

Another strategy is too list a few items for auction and at the same time put the good stuff up at a fixed price.

The best way to see if you like it is to start.

Also, buyers are not gouged for ebay collected sales tax "on behalf of" out of state sellers. Also, no worries about ebay "redlining" based on the seller ZIP code in the "Best Match" algorithm.
