US Scott #c36 Letter Looks Different?-Sloped Bottom Of E In United

I was going through some airmail stamps today, deciding if I wanted to switch them into may album or not, and I noticed the lettering on the stamp shown in the first picture was slightly different than the one shown in second picture(the one I already had).


This is the one with the different shaped E. The Bottom of the E in UNITED slopes up to the left. Also, it appears the second T in STATES slopes up to the left too.
Here is a close-up.


This is the normal one I already had in my album, to compare.


Is this a recut plate? Or am I making something out of nothing.....?

Looks to be either a wiping problem or something on the plate during printing. You need more than one to prove a plate variety.
