I have a shipment of pages and binders coming from Schaubek in Germany. DHL shows they accepted it 3-2 but it has not been processed for shipment as yet. This is most unusual and I am wondering if delays are now occurring due to quarantines?
In the big picture, not a major issue; I'll get it eventually. Just wondering if anyone else is noting slow shipping from foreign vendors these days?

As far as I am aware, Italy is the only country in Europe that implemented restrictions due to the Corona outbreak. |

That was my take, too. I've bought from Schaubek many times and have never seen it take this long just to initialize tracking. |

There are the formal restrictions, and then there are the everyday interference with business. An employee of Company X is in contact with Mr A, who later tests positive. Company X's staff may then be asked to avoid the workplace, and/or its offices are then closed for a deep clean. Etc etc. My daughter and her colleagues were told to work from home on Friday because of a rather tenuous connection, and the offices were cleaned. The company's operating a rather odd division of working in the office/working from home. And no non-essential foreign travel. We're still in a rather chaotic, "delay" phase. None of which may apply to your order, of course! |

Just an observation: Coronavirus is definitely not a good thing overall, but I think it'll actually be good for the stamp business. More people staying home = more people with time on their hands for hobbies. I don't know for sure if it's related, but I've noticed a definite uptick in my ebay sales over the last couple weeks. Again, not saying that coronavirus is good, I certainly don't want to take my chances with it and I don't wish it on anyone else, just making an observation. |

I've now sent two messages to Schaubek,so far no replies and in fact I have NEVER been able to elicit a reply from that company about any issue I have contacted them on- in five years of being a customer. I think they do not have multi-lingual staff. My shipment is still showing as their having been notified it is coming. If I do not have it by the end of March I can file a claim with Paypal for a refund.
I do suspect everything is in havoc now with international shipping. |

I think things are a little slower at the moment. I'm tracking a shipment of books from Philabooks. It was logged as processing through the Frankfurt Airport on 20 Feb, then didn't update until it arrived in New Jersey on 9 Mar. Now granted, it was a large package, but that's still about a week slower than normal. |

I just filed a Paypal claim for refund on my order. Hated doing it but Schaubek has not re[lied to four messages and my order still shows as not shipped. This may be past their control but their lack of response left me with little choice. |

It arrived today. DHL Tracking was not working and it appeared the parcel was still sitting there when in fact it was proceeding normally. I'd just received a message from someone at Schaubek apologizing and explaining that they have been busy addressing messages from worried customers. I am withdrawing the Paypal complaint. |
