Since the beginning of all this, there's been no real consistent answers on survival of the virus on materials. Everywhere from a few hours to 4 weeks. What is commonly agreed on and consistent is that it isn't the primary mode of infection, especially as enough of the virus must be present, transmitted to the new host, and enter the body in enough quantity to cause infection. Possible? Yes. Likely? No. Best practice: disinfect the item or quarantine it (in sunlight if able) then clean your hands after.
