I know many of you have scanned your stamp collections, and I am considering doing the same. I have discovered there exists something called an overhead scanner, however it's output is measure in megapixels like a digital camera instead of DPS like a scanner.

Advantages are that it can flatten out the curve of a book, and the scanning speed is 3 seconds or less.

With my flatbed scanner which I need to replace, the scan speeds were around 15 seconds per page which I thought was too long.

My question is, does anyone have experience using an overhead scanner or have any comments on the quality of the scans they get from it?

I asked a similar question recently.

I never could find a reliable enough review to want me to purchase but google remembers I looked it as I see ads for them sometimes.

I have one. It didn't work anywhere near as well as advertised, and I consigned it to a box in my storeroom. You're better off with a cheap flatbed.
