Gandhi Issue Kyrgyzstan Withdrawn

Hello,

Allegedly a stamp issue of Kyrgyzstan end of 2019 was withdrawn and only three digit numbers of stamps/maxi cards/fdcs were issued.

Can anyone confirm and also tell the reason why the issue was withdrawn ?

There is actually two stories here:

1. The Kyrgyzian Post ordered initially 100 FDCs and 100 Maxicards, but due to the expected interest, they increased the order to 500 copies each. On the covers and cards however the printing plant delivered with 100 imprinted. Nonetheless 500 were delivered and quickyl sold out. Thereefore no withdrawal

2. Due to the error of 100 instead of 500 imprinted, the Kyrgyzian Post decided to only sell 100 out of the 500, thus technically 400 were withdrawn.

Can anyone comment of confirm one of the two stories ? I tried to write an email to the Kyrgyzian Post but the email address given on their website (info@kyrgyzpost.kg) throws a server error.

According to the information received from a collector in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, none of that issue were withdrawn. The stamp and all the memorabilia (FDC and maxi card) were quicly bought by philatelists (dealers?) from China, so nothing was left on sale.
