Morning all,
How do show dealers plan on continuing business until shows resume?
Any dealers out there adopting a marketing plan B to keep material moving and income flowing?
As Roy and Dale used to sing, "Happy trails to you, until we meet again."
Stay safe and well.
Russ

If you have a show dealer you usually patronize, this would be a good time to email them-if they don't have a site- and ask about sending them a want list. |

Perhaps this will serve as an impetus for these dealers to expand their online presence. This could range from simply building a webpage describing their offerings and how to get in touch with them to getting active on one of the online marketplaces (e.g., ebay, Hip Stamp, Delcampe, Stamps2Go, etc.). I suspect it'll be a while before we're back to people crowding around dealer tables and pawing through 102 cards so the willingness and ability to adapt will be critical. |

It is pretty much inexcusable by now to not have at least a decent internet retail operation. |

Hi Russ,
Here's part of the message I sent to all of my clients a couple of days ago updating them on cancelled & postponed shows in the UK & Stateside:
"Keep healthy and hope we're back to normal as soon as possible. In the meantime I plan on "hunkering down¨ in my stamp office and focus on describing and pricing all the new material which I've purchased over the past several months but have been too busy to sort out."

ZOS = Zillions of Stamps. Didn't even know that it existed until you mentioned it! |

Sorry, I should called it out by it's long name. And of course, there is always the APS stamp store. |

The APS stamp store is closed until further notice (source= their webpage).
Last night the PA governor directed that all non-essential businesses cease physical operations or face fines and other enforcement actions. Lawyers being consulted about a variety of issues regard even going alone into one's non-essential office as "physical presence/operation" and subject to enforcement after midnight tonight.

I have noticed an influx of listings on ebay. Assumed it was probably dealers without shows to attend. |

Carpe diem. With change comes opportunity. I know I've spent more time as of late actively working on my collection. |
