Hi! tonymacg
After seeing some of your amazing collection. I see the term ugly in stamping now as a true beauty in collecting. KGV |

This one from France is a disaster. I had to check that there wasn't something wrong when I first saw one. |

An abstract stamp in an ugly format. It would of made me look 3 times at it. It just looks so flawed. KGV |

Ugly stamp, uglier person. This stamp commemorates a president of Panama who arranged for the re-writing of the Panamanian constitution that denied citizenship (property ownership, and a number of other basic rights) to anyone who was not of direct European or Native American decent (or a mixture of the two). He was also a big fan of Hitler |

This is the stamp in my collection I'd rate the least attractive. It's a very small stamp from Belgium that was issued in 1946 to commemorate the centenary of the Oostend-Dover mailboat service. For a commemorative, it is poorly printed and creates a tawdry impression. I wonder why they bothered at all, really. |

Some very creditable efforts recently, but when it comes to ugly, you can't go past the Uglies. Takes this block of 50 of the Poonch 2 Anna Official on laid paper Or how about this example of the first ˝ Anna of Jind, the Gibbons listed variety 'retouched all over' (SG J1a) in a pair with a normal? |

Thanks for that, Londonbus1! That latest set just confirms to me that I am right to not collect anything issued by Royal Mail after decimalization! What junk! DavidR |

Among the ugliest stamps I've ever seen is the 5c airmail from Mexico (1934). It's not a bad design - in fact, I like it very much - but it is without doubt the worst executed stamp I've ever seen and the paper it's on is a joke. Here are the two examples I own: They're so bad, I'm wondering if these are forged examples or ones that have been damaged in some way. |
