I have not been able to locate a stamp similar to this one as of yet. I would like to find out the year, etc. I think it's an income tax stamp? Thank you for any infomation you may have. :)

I do not know the exact year, but found one listed as used in 1932. I googled "Belgium revenue stamps" and choose "images"; I found a bottom half pictured

Shelley, try this link: http://bwdavis.us/ww-revenue-a-i.html . It only shows the bottom half of the stamp, but it can give you some idea By the way the stamp shown is the 50 centimes one - the same basic stamp as yours though Peter |

Hi ShelleyMG,
This stamp is a general revenue stamp from the 1925 set.
It appears to have been used in 1928. |

Hello, I am wondering if anyone is able to tell me if this stamp is also a Belgium revenue stamp, and if so, what year it is from? (or is it even real?). I have been scouring google and the internet but have not been able to find a picture of the same one. Any information will be much appreciated! |

I've nothing precise to offer here, but the French words printed on the front--"Belgique Timbre Fiscal"—do identify it as a Belgian revenue or fiscal stamp. |

Hi JenK.
Your stamp is a Belgian general revenue stamp from the 1952 set.
This is a long set with thirty different values, all in pairs like this.
Edit: date corrected and incorrect comment about the design removed.

Hi Peter, Sorry, I cannot seem to find my particular stamp either.
Also, Nigel, not that I am questioning you information, but may I ask how you know? Even searching with the specific year I cannot seem to find it.
Thanks again! |

Hi JenK,
I see that your stamp has a security perfin, "CL" and has a cancellation from the large French bank, Crédit Lyonnais.
I collect perfins on British postage and revenue stamps.
Sorry, I wrote the wrong date in my original post, this set was issued in 1952 and this stamp was cancelled in 1955. |
