I need your help to confirm that the stamps have plate flaw. They are not specified in the Michel and I identified (??) them by finding similar stamps on sales sites. The stamps are Mi 566, 1258, 1288 and 1320. It would be helpful if you could let me know the field and catalogue value (if they are plate flaw). 566 1320 1258 1288 Thank you. |

Have decided to put aside the postal cards for awhile. Am going through Germany for a start, and trying to bring order to a variety of collections and boxes I've purchased over the years. Just happened on this one by chance, and thought to share. Along with using Michel Specialized, I found this site which is pretty interesting for illustrating varieties. https://worldstampsproject.org/germ...eimar-reich/ |

Started on "Germania". Got all the way to the "3pf's" before this one showed up. It follows the description in Michel for 54I pretty well. "oblique scratch through upper digit 3 up to to the edge line above crown cross" Anyone have similar or illustration to verify. Thanks, Pat |

Hi patg23,
Yes it is. Congrats.
There are three features for this one.
Damage on the left and also chips (This one is hard but it is the little white spots in the left upper flame)

Federal Germany. Missing line in mortar. This one has a crazy catalog value of 200 euros. Does anyone actual buy plate flaws (at any price)? |

German Empire. Upper loop of "B" partially filled in. PF III. PF I, PF III and PF VI. PF VI is not listed in Michel. It is noted in the specialist literature for this series. The "D" has no gap. PF VIII. The "m" is higher than "100". |

Soviet Occupation Issues. PF VII. This has both the short "U" and a gap in the line under the "R". PF VII. PF II. Short "F". |
