The postmark on this 1993 registered cover



reads DOONAOONA. When I looked this up in Wikipedia the town is called DOONACONA





The First O in the postmark does not look to be deformed or over-inked. Is this a known error or just a freak.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I had found when looking on the web so I assume that the MOON postmark is a genuine error by whoever produced it. Now I just need to find out a bit more about - was it ever corrected etc.
