Panama 1903 With Columbia Postmark?

a friend has asked me to see if you guys known what a postmark from one of the few Columbia towns which used Panama Stamps around 1903

In the Scott catalog regarding Panama #'s 15-21 Scott states" in 1903 nos. 15-21 were used in Cauca and three other southern Columbia towns. Stamps canceled in these towns are worth much more."
can anyone identify this manuscript town cancel from November 12, 1903 on Panama 10c orange # 18

Hi Leejb1,

The cancellation appears to say "Anulada Novbre 12 1903".

"Anulada" means "Cancelled".

I guess it could have been cancelled anywhere.

It is spelt Colombia, rather than Columbia.

Hi

Panama was once a state of Colombia. The US helped Panama gain its independence because we needed to build the Panama Canal and Colombia was not ceding the land. Therefore, Colombia cancels are normal until the early 1900s.
