Hello,

New user here. I guess I inherited these a while back, but more so they just ended up in my files after my grandfather and grandmother passed a long time ago. I came across all their pertinent life docs--Deed to house, Marriage Lic, Cemetery plot deeds, etc.

I used to collect stamps as a kid. Nothing big--I just enjoyed stamps and no money was ever worried about. Pretty much same with these as I know like coins they have to be almost perfection to be of real value.

Could anyone tell me about these stamps used on their home deed back in the 1950's? Or direct me to a link? I'm guessing they're worth less than they were back when purchased, but who knows?

Thanks for your time.

They are Revenue stamps. The $10 is #R677, $5 R676 (creased), $3.30 #R640 (best one - catalog value $17.50), 40c #R663. There are a bunch of revenue experts that frequent this site and perhaps one of them will see this and can comment on whether being on document adds much or not.

Thanks for the reply. I might put em up on ebay as I'll just bury them and forget.
