Hello - New Member From South Carolina

Hello all,
I started collecting in the early 60s while living in Europe.
This lasted for about five years until life got in the way and then in the late 80's, I happened to run into a local stamp store in the mall here in town which reawakend my collecting interest...
I became more of a an accumulator than a collector while traveling over Canada and the US and making purchases from different stamp stores around the country .. this continued off and on for about 10 years. from time to time I would make internet purchases and work on my stamps here and there as I had time.
These days I'm trying to organize my accumulation and tried to decide the best way to do this .. I've about decided to use Vario stock sheets and Grande albums ... and the biggest decision is whether I can bring myself to pay $15 or more for a single pack of old Dennison hinges or to go ahead and buy second grade Showgard mounts for all my used stamps .. I currently have to Scott National albums for US -- one for mint and one for used.. Scott albums for GB and Channel Isles..1 of each for mint and used ... I have Davo albums for Belgium and Netherlands and I'm working on buying used Davo albums hingeless albums for the mint stamps for each country ... I have six old Citation albums that I purchased at a stamp store in New Jersey in the early 90s that was set up for worldwide through about 1980... but it's not very complete and I can't really bring myself to spend the money on a full set of Scott Internationals .. I thought about buying a set of the big brown reproductions for 1840 to 1940 and then using Scott Internationals through about 1970 or 75 and stopping at that point.

I'm happy to be here and look forward to expanding my knowledge.
