This is SG #207 (or perhaps #207a) and Scott 195. Does anyone know what the perfins mean?

This is an Official stamp. VG stands for Victoria Government.

Thank you, itma. That was my guess, but I wondered whether Australian states were still perfing Commonwealth stamps for official use at that late date. Now I know. I'll replace this stamp into my Victoria collection.

Keep well,
Eric

Good to know. Now, were other states also perfining Commonwealth stamps to identify official use? Or was Victoria the only one?
