These BERLIN overprints will usually only sell at elevated prices with genuiness certification, since there is too many forgeries around.

Having said that you can try selling and if they are genuine very good. But you need to be careful since if they proof to be false the buyer may not be happy. And in ebay, for example, if you say genuine and it proves false, the buyer can either ask for returning the stamp or he can demand you deliver a genuine one

@withdrawn yeah I am trying find some authenticator in Perth, due to corona everything is slow at the moment. thats why I am not doing it for sale as well. cause maybe a certificate would give me a few more bucks maybe, otherwise would keep it in my own album.

Feedback from the German forum is that it looks good. Cancellation date (2/1/49) fits as well. Probably a franking from a heavier international letter, which makes it seldom. There are two likely and one more unlikely option. That is why the question was asked whether the entire letter was available since this would have been more "proof" and would have made the whole thing even more valuable.

Anyways this way, only a certification will bring ultimate clarity.
