Christopher from Tolleson, AZ. Recently opened a box I've had with some of me belongings and saw these stamps a friend of mine gave me. Said they were collectable and gave them to me because I like to collect random things similar to stamp collecting. But unfortunately I don't know much about stamps. Don't know if these are cool or rare or garbage. I always seem to think I have something valuable. but it always is a bust. cool! but not that rare valuable piece..

Stamps like you show had production runs over many years and were issued in the millions/billions. There are some rare varieties which some collectors dream about finding, it is similar to dreaming about winning the mega lottery. Stamp collecting is a great hobby but not for investing or making money. If you persue the hobby and do it for learning about history and culture, you will be sure to be rewarded. If you do it in hopes of finding a rarity, you will always be disappointed.

As stated previously by other members, the stamps you showed are common.
If I may make a positive comment, if you intend to collect these, then you should try to get them in the best condition as possible. This applies for cheap and expensive stamps.
