The New Zealand postmark has an interesting story behind it. I wrote a letter to this auction house to stop any more catalogues & now I receive 2. The question is, if I ask again to be taken of their mailing list will I receive 3 copies?! |

The Northern Territories postmark would be Humpty Doo? A nearly clear " Get Stuck into Stamps" postmark. |

Yes John 'tis Humpty Doo I would bear with your mailing house, it was very polite of you to advise them , best to try again, maybe they have hired young staff. ...and a reminder of the first Afghan stamps, where the clerk bit off a piece of the stamp to cancel. |

A nice "Stamp Cancelled". A white dove with "Peace". 3 examples of a Christmas cancel I really like this one; it stands out to me. |

A nice topical. A lovely SON from Victoria, Gozo, on a Queen Victoria ˝d stamp. Gozo, one of the islands of Malta, has a land mass of 28 sq miles. Victoria has a population of only 6,500 today. |

Sometimes I get a piece of mail like this example & it stops me dead in my tracks. I just keep looking at it, thinking, "how beautiful is that!" The stamps are stuck on with precision & Australia Post has treated the stamps with respect. It's just so beautifully done & on top of that, some nice strips of 5 for the collection & postmarked Saturday 15th May. One of the miracles in our modern day. |

I agree KG5, that has to be from a stamp dealer :)
You are not going to soak are you?

Yes a treasured dealer! How could I soak them! When the price to buy the strips is so little compared to this postal masterpiece. I will also never forget that your influence started off my postmark collection in a nice new stock book. Thanks mate! |

I'll have to sell/give you blokes something. I've got some of these strips lying around to use as postage! |

3 examples of a recent postmark in 3 different forms. I have not seen it anywhere else. Nothing like this has been in my mail box. 4th stamp: a small example of that floral postmark. This one has a few letters on it "Laun". It will show up better posted! John. |

Just some of the postmarks that have passed my eye in recent times. The pen cancelled Dec stamp is going into the collection. The American stamp must have a story? It has certainly been cancelled! |
