Rod apparently the Legends 2010 prestige booklet contained 24 postage stamps and collectible stamps. The aust post issue of the colour separation stamps is in this booklet. Amazing I have never seen anything like before and it looks like aust post did not charge for them.
Nice stamp and postmark plsllvn. |

Thanks KG5, interesting, I have never seen this before, or the legends post pack.
Paul: Tolga is a town on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queensland, Australia, and is the centre of the regions peanut industry. The name Tolga means red mud in the local Aboriginal language. The town was originally called Martintown, and grew out of a Cobb and Co staging post at Rocky Creek.(wiki)
I'd suggest the population at the time of your stamp would be very low, you may have a valuable postmark there.

rod222 Thanks for your help I have not been able to find out much info regarding Tolga and only been able to find a couple of images online showing a cancel, all much later. I'll keep looking, do you know if there is a r-rating for Tolga? Thanks Paul

Paul, postmark ratings require a compendium for each state. I only have Western Australia, so unable to assist there.

However did Coca Cola manage to get a postmark of their name / logo?
But I like it, it's neat and collectible to a wider audience (Coca Cola fans).
I was just looking at some Canada postmarks on DelCampe last night and restraining myself from buying. Fascinating field. |

Here's a few of my favourites. All of these were "found", not specifically purchased. Marcophily is a fantastic area to collect, with even the most common stamps throwing up superb postmarks. GB TPO GB used in British Levant GB used in Malta GB used in Valparaiso, Chile SS Bremen seapost |

Excellent Jubilee, lovely clear scans. I would like to keep a couple of those for my reference material. Finally, after some years I have tracked down some sundry GB postmarks, that I will open in another thread, as they are specialised. "London postmarks on printed Matter" |

Anybody asking a lot of questions, will always make a clanger now and again. So what? The thing to be afraid of, is the fear of asking a question. Long live clangers! |
