Just as addition to the old name Syburi.
This was the name the Thai used for Kedah before they transferred Kedah (plus Kelantan, Perlis and Trengganu) to the British in 1909
Syburi or Saiburi means in Thai, city of the Banyan tree.
Oct 1943, the administrative control of Kedah was transferred by the Japanese to Thailand and it was again called Syburi.
The only stamp in that period showing the name Syburi is a 10 cent revenue stamp ifirst seen used on document in January 1945
The scan shows 2 stamps. The right with the bluish color is fake and is often offered on
ebay, mint with gum or stuck on a piece of paper with a fake cancel.
The left greenish stamp is the original and sells for about $75
