Everyone wants stamp pictures to be the best you can get.
My scanner is ready for the garbage. So I have been using my USB microscope for picture captures.

There is a software program that I have just started using. This program is FREE and below is a link for you Window users.
This free program is called CHEESE

Below is a regular USB capture picture on the left and a CHEESE capture on the right.There is quite a bit of picture quality difference.


Below is the screen you will see on your computer.


The link page looks like the attachment below..


When you use a software enhancer as I do, you get a nicer picture. I use PINTA {Sorry not available for Windows}, but you probably have a software version you are already using. See the difference below. Lines are much clearer.

May I ask what USB microscope you are using and what OS? My OPTEX microscope stopped working when Windows 10 got installed and I have not been able to find a driver for it. So it has become a paperweight.

Sorry to here about your USB troubles PMStamp.
I do not use Windows, I use Linux..sorry.

But my USB is a Celestron USB microscope.
You might try CHEESE.{you never know}
I also use GUVCVIEW..Not sure if there is a version for Windows..??
