Just returned to collecting Israel after a 10 year layoff. For decades was a dedicated customer of Garel Industries in Hewlett NY .

Sadly , George Garfinkel the owner passed 4 years ago ..... he will be sorely missed.

Any advice for where to go for what older tabs I can afford and where to get my new material as well to fill my Lighthouse pages ..?

Israel stamps are much like U.N .Vatican ,British Regionals stamps the market has crashed in these once popular areas of collecting . The major stamp auction houses seem to have tons of them in the bulk lots and any inventory being sold results in a low percentage of catalog .

My earlier post along the lines if floortarder's didn't seem to take. You should be able to pick up early material at auction - here's an example from a recent UK sale

Hy Cohen is a former professional Baseball player who's been selling Israel material for years. I'm not currently collecting in this area but I always got good service from him.

I may be able to help out with quite a bit of what you are looking for as I recently acquired a bin of Israel in a recent purchase. Feel free to reach out. Best of luck in your hunt either way!
