Greetings.

Scott catalog states there are three types for this issue. However, only two are listed.

Scott 1587a supposedly has watermark 372. What is the watermark for Sc 1587? And what is the missing third variety?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

I believe that there are only two types of the P3.60 value stamp issued in 1985/1986. The note after Scott #1587 (P1.00 issued in 1982) does not apply to the P3.60 value issue. I have not seen any comment about "types" for the P1.00 value from 1982 in any other catalogs. Perhaps, this is a misprint is Scott?

Barhata...

Thank you for your reply. And for posting the catalogue table.

Your reply caused me to take another look at the Scott entry, which I continue to believe is confusing.

The 1982 issues (Scott 1587 and 1587a) are each one Peso. Am assuming 1587 is "Type I" (i.e., thick frame). Watermark unspecified. Large "P".

While 1587a is "Type II" (medium frame). Watermark 372. Small "P". (Although details clarifying Type I and Type II are not listed under the 1982 issues.)

And Scott 1684 and 1684A are each 3.60 Peso.

So I count four varieties. Not three.
