Hi there!

I found this 'strange' cover lying in my collection.

The adhesives are not the usual perforated stamps. Instead, they look like labels (or are they cut-outs?). I could not find any information on these in my Scott catalogs. The cancellation looks funny too.

Would anybody be able to shed some light on this cover?

Thanks!

I wonder if this ever left California. Looks like an imaginative creation from someone's table at home. Fun, though.

A pure fabrication.

Someone had some fun with cut-outs. I wonder when Congo became an English colony.

Victorian stationary cut-outs in 1960 in a former French / Belgian colony.

Also the "cancel" of Congo, Africa is silly. It would be like having a cancel in some town in the US read "USA North America" And "Zululand" is in South Africa, not Congo. And British Central Africa is in Malawi, not Congo. This silly creation appears to be the wqrk of someone who just wanted to have some fun and who had no clue about Africa or the countries there.

"One-of-a-kind cover possibly mailed somewhere on Earth. Found in a locked safe from the estate of a prolific collector of things and such. Incredible provenance. Selling exclusively on ebay for only a $100 starting bid. Comes with fresh SCF cert"

Let the bids roll in...
