Rod 222 posted this in answer on another thread when asked what to do with stamps found of little value:

Seeking advice on what I should do.

If they turn out to be reasonably common,
place in an envelope, write "Free for you" and slip it into a stamp catalogue at your Library. An act of random kindness.

Would not it be wonderful if many libraries across the world contained such treasures?

....and it starts with you or me, or..........

Thanks for posting, that was a nice gesture.

Those whom try it, will feel that strange exhilaration of the act of giving, without any expectation of return.
I note the fellow I follow, for my financial health "The Barefoot Investor"
also promotes the power of giving and the joy it can give.

I like to add, the generous "free gifts" I have had from SCF members
such as Geoff Ha (Great Britain) and Aussie Al, etc
duplication has found its way to Libraries, The Red Cross Stamp shop
or the local "Farm Weekend" for the kids.

Think a lot of us would love to give out our duplicates and so forth; but seems there are not a lot of younger folks getting in to stamp collecting which is where I'd be glad to hand out some freebies.
