Straits Settlements #10 - Overprint Or Cancel?

I have this Straits Settlements #10 with "B&Co" in blue. Because of the "B" I looked to see if this is one of the Bangkok overprints but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is it some kind of a cancel? Thanks!

This is known as a "Security Marking." Companies rubber-stamped their company initials on the stamps they bought to prevent them from being pilfered and stolen by employees and others. Hong Kong and China stamps also can be found with these markings. My avatar has a DROZ security marking, as an example from Hong Kong.

It could be an older B & Co. = BOUSTEAD & CO. marking

Thanks very much for the replies! Linus, I wasn't aware of Security Markings and I'm happy to learn something new. Perf12, it looks like you're correct. Since you suggested Boustead & Co, I searched for security markings by that company and found one identical to mine. Thanks again!
