Hi,

Allegedly these 3 stamps (plus a matching miniature sheet) have been withdrawn. Topic is a visit of Kim Il Sung in China in 1978.

Michel does register those as A1714-D1714. But no further comments. Is there any more on this in Scott, SG, Yvert,... ?

Thank you
Dieter

I have a hand-written note in my SG Part 18 (Japan & Korea 5th Ed. 2008), after SG N1718/1722 which states "5.5.1978 Visit of President Kim Il-Sung to People's Republic of China 10ch., 15ch., 20ch. SG "1723" and a reference to the Michel catalogue numbers shown above. Unfortunately, although I wrote the note, I didn't record my source. SG doesn't list any numbers between N1718/1722 and N1724. The Korea Stamp Society may be able to shed more light.

Are these stamps worth anything, especially the mini sheet? I could not find any value on them. Thank you.

Never seen anybody collect North Korea ,funny never seen a collection come up at Auction . Sure you can buy a bag full of 100 for a $1.00 or 500 for $5.00 and call that a collection .

It falls in that group of a bunch of "wallpaper" Something a few dealers sells mixtures of, a newbie would buy .I pick up a few mixture lots in bulk purchases but never got any that were hinged on the back .
