Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been an on and off again collector of US Stamps since I was a child. My father had spent his youth collecting and got one of my brother's and I into collecting. My brother inherited the majority of his stamps, but I have a pretty decent collection up to last year. I take breaks between when I collect and figured this was a good time to get some stamps as it seems many more stamps seem to be in the market compared in the past.

I collect on Minkus (mainly from their pages not requiring singles for the blocks of stamps), but for years have been disappointed with the quality control of their supplements, so I started to recreate pages using word to better display the stamps.

I just recently started to collect China stamps and started my own pages. I am limiting my China stamps to pre-1960 consisting of Imperial, ROC and PRC. We'll see how it turns out.

percyjgp,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.
