Hello I've got those 2 cut squares 1c Washington blue (look like U298) Please could you tell me : 1. What is the type of this postal stationery (Scott# ? Paper type ?) 2. Anything worth over 50 bucks in value
Both are from white paper envelopes. The one on the left shows signs of soiling and toning. Both items are cut close on multiple sides. The items are UPSS Die 83 from the 1886-1898 Plimpton Morgan and Purcell issues. Impossible to tell if P&M or Purcell without the entire envelope. Scott # is U294 with a catalog value of 25-cents each in better condition.
