I was wondering if this size of a roll was common because I've never seen a roll this big. Thank you !

They come much bigger Sue. How does 10.000 coils sound ? I think the roll you picture is 3.000 stamps

Peter, why guess? Yes, some coils come in 10,000, but not this one.

The Fall 1997 Philatelic Catalog lists coils of 500 and 3000 for the Kestrel stamp, item T:

I was talking about coil stamps in general, not the Kestrel. The OP was talking in general as well, as in: - I've never seen a roll this big -
