A little difficult to say, but, given that it seems to lack the pricier items, maybe £200-300, depending on how comprehensive the later mint is. Given that that isn't a great deal for a lot of lovely stamps, why not think again about keeping them for yourself? You could work on the display in the stock-books, or put them in an album. There are free French pages, with catalogue numbers, here http://www.album.france-timbres.net/ |

GeoffHa, that's a nice alternative, it's just that I don't see myself adding to it. But I'll jeep that in mind. Thanks! |

I would hold on to them. That looks like a nice start to a nice album. In my family it has always been taught to us that at a minimum to keep the stamps in good order even if you weren't interested in collecting. We consider them a family heirloom that gets passed down. |

A rehouse would do wonders to show them off a bit better.
They're also a family heirloom. After my Dad died I sorted out his collection and filled the gaps that he didn't.
Now it's something to pass down to a third generation. |

Nice group ,your grandfather didn't put a lot of money into it and his organization is not that of a experience collector .
There could be some value in one or two pages ,but each stamp would have to be examined seperately . You need to know if some are MNH or hinged . I would have those stamps studied before you decide or make a price . |

There are likely shades (tones) to be found in the definitives accumulation. |

Nope, too light for Prussian blue. Nice accumulation. I create very similar ones when I start a country. Buy a few collections and pull out the best examples of each of the common stamps, then put the rest in a stockbook in case I decide to get into cancels or shades or whatever. |
