I don't yet have a copy of Barefoot, but web sites seem to indicate that this is a Special Adhesive, though for unspecified purposes. Is that so? I also wonder whether it's from the Crown Colony period or that of the Empire? (Watermark is large crown, perf 14.)
Here's what I have. Seems only a large crown. From Gibbons and other sources I find that revenues often had "Crown over India." Can't find any reference to "Crown over A" for India. Isn't that Australia?

Indeed Crown is the watermark.
I had read "Watermark Crown A P15x15.5, B P14 and took it as Crown A

We all do something similar at some point. And I can see how that could happen here, especially since Crown over A is such a familiar thing. Well, never mind, it's still a very nice display of some very pretty stamps.
