I put them under red led spectrum lighting Moving it around I don't see varnish So took pictures With and without a flash Thinking the contrast would show a glimpse of something But I don't see it I also tried changing the filters on my phone to see Nothing Will Black light or uvb will either help me see it? |

No, probably not. It can be frustrating and it is not unheard of for these issues to not have the varnish. Have you looked while dipped in fluid? |

It all looks the same It's frustrating I can take pictures of them in fluid Tomorrow and post to see if anyone can see what I don't |

I'm as frustrated as I was when I was trying to Find a # for a 5 ore sverige imperf Ya that took days.....happy I was able to search that one up The hard way I'm sure |

Keep in mind that Scott is not even close to being a specialized catalogue. For older issues of many (most, all?) countries you're not going to see a lot of information for perf varieties, shades, etc.
And the process of identifying some stamps will put you through your paces. I've been working on my Austria accumulation recently and there are some early issues that had varnish as well. Much of the time it's easy to identify the ones with varnish bars, but there have been some where I'm just not sure.

I was gonna ask about this one but the new Scott's Gave me the answer as far as I can tell(not listed in the old books) Is not a 3 pearls but How's this a inverted surcharge? It looks fine to me #117a  |

I tried every lighting source I have All different possessions I'm probably just not seeing it cause I've never done it before So I drove to a couple places today to get New catalogues again No luck I'll try a few more tomorrow
