I am going through my Dad's stamps and found this example of Type A158, I believe.

The Scott Specialized lists several numbers that are either violet or red violet.

It doesn't list, at least I can't find one, for Red or Carmine stamp for Type A158.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yup, that much of a change typically means someone washed the blue tones out.
