What are specimens of North Borneo stamps worth in comparison to regular issues?

Welcome to the forum.
It would help if you could be a bit less general with your question - preferably with a picture of the stamp(s) you're mentioning

Depends greatly on the stamp. Some issues sell for less with SPECIMEN overprints, some sell for more. Most scarce or valuable stamps are worth less as specimens, but there are exceptions.

Gibbons lists and prices specimen overprints for North Borneo (and the rest of the British Empire), though most of the prices listed are for full sets, not individual stamps. If you have a specific stamp in mind, I can look it up for you.
