Hi! I'm very new to stamp collecting, as in I just bought my first stamps yesterday. I look forward to getting more into it. Honestly, I'm not even sure what I'm doing LOL.

I just remembered that I have a whole sheet of Eclipse stamps from 2017, and Star Wars stamps from 2007. Not sure if they're worth anything, but they're interesting!

Welcome to the Community. You'll enjoy it here. Be sure to learn how to scan and upload pictures, because we love to see pictures.

As far as the Eclipse and Star Wars stamps, those are very nice, unique items. Will they ever be worth anything? No, just the price that you paid for them. But remember to collect what you want to collect, then you'll never be disappointed.

Caution: Don't purchase anything from Mystic Stamp Company. Their prices are WAY too high. Better to purchase items from other websites. Be sure to ask the Community for advise on your first purchases. Again, welcome.

Honestly, if you have a short need list of a few specific, fairly inexpensive stamps, then mystic may actually be a good way to go, given you can get all the items you want, now, for one low shipping charge (relative to ebay which would be difficult to fill your list quickly through one vendor most likely). For $1 or less items, they're pretty efficient.

Don't hesitate to post questions here. There are a lot of experienced collectors in the community.

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

Dallin 125,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

Welcome to stamp collecting, Dallin125!

I collect stamps manufactured with the line-engraving process because I appreciate the art and workmanship that went into engraving the design into the master die.

Here's an example from the US 1902-3 definitive series, Scott #300:
