Postal Card For Motor Vehicle Tax Stamp

I rescued this card from a bargain box recently. It's a confirmation of purchase for the 1942 Motor Vehicle Tax revenue stamp -- RV6, I think it would have been. The card isn't filled out and I'm not sure why it received a parcel post cancellation. Interesting item and well worth the 25˘ investment! (The stamp is not mine, just shown for reference.)

This is a nice collateral item for an area which is difficult to find much of anything other than the stamps.

The stamp that is shown (for the year ending June 30, 1943) is for the next fiscal year after the card (which is for the year ending June 30, 1942).

Ah, you are correct, revenuermd. I was looking at the top block of text, but the card is really for the previous year. So these stamps would be more appropriate.
