I thought that I had managed to identify most of the Nazi era overprints but apparently not. This one appears to be internal rather than something used in occupied countries but I cannot find it in my searches. Perhaps I am using an incorrect transcription but I am getting references to airports and a government body to oversee them. Is this correct?
Thank you! Now that I know what the organization was, I can dig for information on the overprint which, I assume would be equivalent to either a private perfin or a precancel. My big error in trying to find this was in assuming that the central design was actually a revaluation (saw the "s" as an "8"). A reinvigorated search.
The symbol is that of the Reichsluftschutzbund. This is not an overprint, but rather a conveniently placed commemorative postmark. The text translates as "Become a member of the Reischsluftschutzbund".
