Thanks rogdcam, that was my hunch with the type. It is in a Scott Japan special issue binder. Was the text copied from genuine album, or was the composer 100 times my level ?

This looks like a nice write-up! I'd personally be very interested to see images of all the pages of this Earthquake Stamps section, as this is an area I need to understand better.
If you'd be willing to shoot pics of them more straight on, that'd be really terrific. (Or even better, scan them, if you have one.) If it seems like too many images to post in this thread, I could give you my email address via message.
I have several Scott Japan albums, and I've never seen anything this detailed, and, to be honest, have never known Scott to go into that kind of detail in their albums. In fact, I don't think even the Scott classic catalogue lists the different types of printings. (It didn't as of the 2015 edition, which is latest one I have.) So this collector prepared these pages based on another source.
One possible guess is that there was a detailed write-up some time in the past in the APS publication. It seems more reasonable, though, that the collector might have had access to an ISJP (International Society for Japanese Philately) article about this issue, where this kind of depth is more likely.
Thanks for showing these! |

A very interesting stamp release.
I'm with Philatarium - I'd love to see some more scans/photos.
Until just now I had no idea there was anything other than the Osaka printing. |
