Misperforation Explanation

Been browsing through a bunch of misperfs.
I am trying to explain how this would occur. I don't own it.



Was this fed in upside down, or is it just an extreme shift? Trying to understand the flat edge on the left, and if it's impossible to determine. Also would technically need one more set of perfs/stamps to the right to know?

Since both outside stamps are narrow and both in the middle are wide, I don't think being upside down would matter. So I think it is just shifted. Nice perf freak.

Looking at this normal image borrowed from ebay, it appears your example is just a perf-shift to the right by about 1/2", with all other printing and trimming operations happening normally.

How would you explain the extra perfs? Gutter snipe + a shift?

Do these 48 stamps come part of a 192 giant sheet or were they made as a 48.
